Why did you reach out for coaching in the first place?

After several years working on my own fitness I was looking for guidance and a different approach with regards to training.
What have you learned or achieved since being with us?
Where to start! Structure. I’ve learned the importance of sticking to a routine, progressive overload each week and tracking reps/sets. Key tips in regard to form, specifically deadlifts and squats – information which may be conflicting online but have been clearly shown and provided via 1-1 and video messages. Overall a different approach to training which has massively impacted the way I’ll go forward with my own programming.
What are the best parts about working with us?

Very easy to communicate with and discuss any issues. Friendly atmosphere and very accommodating for everyone regardless of fitness levels.

Why did you reach out for coaching in the first place?
​
After finding Joe Wicks and lots of walking during lock down I felt ready to push myself further and add strength training to my life. Lewis was recommended to me and after our initial chat I felt confident that he and I would work well together.
What have you learned or achieved since being with us?
​
The biggest lesson for me is how much I enjoy my sessions! I’m learning about functional strength training which is perfect for what I want to achieve. I’ve discovered that I’m stronger in my 50s than I’ve ever been and that my confidence levels have hugely increased. I’ve also learned that individual body shapes are suited to different exercises - short limbs seem to like deadlifts!
What are the best parts about working with us?

It’s so much fun! I love the mix of individual PT sessions and group classes. They are tailored for a whole body workout & there is never a session where we don’t laugh, swear & work hard! Lewis’s commitment to his clients is amazing - it feels like the session is a joint effort to reach my goals

Why did you reach out for coaching in the first place?
My main driving force was that I didn’t want my son growing up seeing my terrible relationship with food. I would starve myself, lose a few pounds, reward myself by binging, gain a few pounds, starve myself and that cycle continued for years. I reached out to you for nutritional help in the hope that I wouldn’t pass those traits down to him. I also wanted to get back down to my pre-baby weight but in a healthy, sustainable way.
What have you learned or achieved since being with us?
One big achievement whilst working with Lewis was dropping 7kg and returning to my pre-baby weight, but the most noticeable thing for me for me is that I can now enjoy food without binging and I can train without it being a form of punishment for eating the ‘wrong’ thing. I’m so much more confident, not only in myself but also in my knowledge surrounding nutrition.
What are the best parts about working with us?
You helped me set realistic, achievable goals, I never felt pressured to reach certain targets, I only ever felt encouraged. I genuinely looked forward to our progress calls and you were always at the end of the phone if I needed to double check something or needed some reassurance through out the week.

Why did you come to us in the first place?
I initially came to Lewis to get some help in achieving my fitness goals which at the time were very unfocused. I was unfit, out of shape and in a poor mental state so I wanted some structured support to help improve in those areas. A huge factor for me was replacing negative habits with positive ones which is why I aimed to have my weekly sessions on a Friday evening, which is typically when I would drink alcohol and binge on unhealthy food.
I had been friends with Lewis for years so I was already aware that he led by example in regard to health and fitness. I had also seen he had received outstanding reviews from other clients so I thought he would be an excellent fit for helping me get to where I wanted to be.
What have you learned or achieved since being with us?
Lewis has helped re-find my passion for fitness and gave me the motivation I needed to take control of my life. He was very good at identifying my strengths and weaknesses and provided me with a tailored program around these.
I would say that over the period of training with Lewis I have gone from the worst period of fitness of my life, to one of the best. I have achieved the following:
